About Entertainment Gauntlet

Entertainment Gauntlet is five rounds a day. Each round puts fifteen songs, films or famous names on screen and asks for the top three of a ranking, by streams, box office, followers and more.

How to play

1. Read the ranking: what is being measured, and which way.
2. Everything you could pick is already on screen. Only the order is hidden, so choose the three you think rank highest.
3. You get four picks, and your best three count.

Scoring

Each pick is scored on where it sits among the names not yet picked. The best one remaining always earns full marks, 33.3 points, and anything lower down still earns part of that. A round is out of 100 and a day out of 500.

Tips

• Match the fame to the measure. Streams, box office and followers reward different kinds of popular.
• Do not trust the name you hear most. Something everywhere this month can trail a quieter favourite on a long-run count.
• Use your fourth pick on the closest call, because only your best three count.

Good to know

A new board goes up every day at midnight Eastern, the same for everybody. Your first finished run goes on the leaderboard, and past days stay playable in the archive.
